What is Lekuka, and is Marshal ready for it?
Lekuka is the e-invoicing system run by Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL). Marshal was built for it: every receipt, tax invoice, credit note, debit note and payout is signed, numbered and filed with RSL as you trade, and every slip carries RSL's QR code and verification code.
Do we need a separate fiscal device?
No separate box. Enter the device ID and activation key RSL issues for each shop, and Marshal generates the keys, registers the device with RSL and signs every document itself. You need a computer or tablet with a web browser, and a receipt printer if you print slips.
What happens when RSL is down?
The till keeps selling. Each receipt is signed and numbered as usual and waits in a queue, and Marshal files the queue with RSL in order as soon as RSL answers — within the same fiscal day. Nothing is lost and nothing is filed twice.
Can we run more than one shop?
Yes. Any number of shops and warehouses under one account, each with its own fiscal device, tills and stock, and transfers between them. People can hold different roles in different shops.
Do you handle VAT-exempt and zero-rated goods, and levies?
Yes. Every product carries its tax treatment from your own RSL tax table, levies included, and the receipt shows each tax exactly as RSL records it.
Can our accounting software connect?
Invoices can come in from Xero and Sage Business Cloud Accounting, and the period's ledger journal exports for your accountant. Any other system can file through the Marshal Fiscal API.
How is our data protected?
Each company's records are separated at the database level, fiscal signing keys are encrypted, and sensitive actions — changing a role, entering admin mode — need a second, one-time code.
